Rachel K Collier’s Devious Sound Design
Posted on 27th September 2022The imitable Rachael K Collier transforms a set of field recordings taken in Berlin into a full track using only Devious Machines plug-ins and Ableton Live.
Rachael uses Infiltrator 2 to create a solid kick drum from a sample of her closing a postbox, Texture to create hi-hats from the sound of a scooter skidding, Duck’s rhythmic patterns to groove many of the sounds and Pitch Monster to widen and transform her short vocal recordings into ethereal angelic tones.
